Training videos or instructional video can be anything from a short video on your website telling people how to use your software or product to a full-length DVD for training your sales people or other employees. It could be a safety video for company procedure and regulations in the field or a general instructional DVD for retail.

The video on the right shows a sample of complete series of 35 short instructional videos that we did for an iPhone/iPod application for nursing students. The project was developed by C-IT Applications, and did all the video content.

With this sort of project, a lot of time and effort goes into the pre-production, with (in most cases) the content itself being developed by the client. Vigor Media is still heavily involved in the planning and development stages, giving advice and expertise from the video perspective.

When it comes to the filming stage, it is important to be very well organised. All the pre-production then pays off and a complicated series of 35 videos like this were filmed in a single two-day shoot!
